I'm not sure that we all have it in us to get into the "little spaces" like your friend, but it's important that people get to see things from many vantage points. Not a political site, but check out Pocketcultures.com. (We could use a contributor from S.A., hint hint) I love this.

Particularly in S. Africa when you have an angry striker's word vs the word of a middle class suburbanite.
