Nostalgia makes a fine mistress in the evenings. I’ve realised recently that finding interesting bits and pieces on travel blogs about Sudan is actually quite difficult. Searching for Sudan away from the South and Darfur, there is actually not a whole lot out there. So, in the interests of adding to the Internet, here is a short video from my Christmas home in December – the town of Atbara in Sudan.
The sound is poor, the visual quality would make a professional cry and I even managed to get dust on the lens. But short of going to an Atbaran rooftop yourself, I hope it will make do as the second (or third, fourth or fifth) best thing. Think of it as the Bean Fuul of travel clips.

Richard, don’t worry about the video quality, just the fact that you were there and have something to share is good enough. That video (and your stories) could give most people a peek into a world they don’t know, don’t understand, and will likely never hear anything else about. So thanks for sharing!
